Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R48D5OUAY6E4H Update: Please note that the app for the IOS Apple devices has been changed to AirStor and I have tested it and it works fine. The app MobileFun is no longer available on the iTunes Store.------------------------------------This is a very good product that worked perfectly with my Apple iPhones and both of our iPads! This device allows you to plug in a SD memory card, a USB memory stick or a USB hard drive and then connect to those storage devices using a built in WIFI network that is in the device. The RavPower WIFI Disk contains a rechargeable battery that will hold up to 3000 mAh of current charge to either operate itself for over 5 hours or it can be used to recharge your smart phone. I say smart phone because at 3000 mAh it will recharge your smart phone (Like an Apple iPhone) about 1.6 times but it really does not have enough power capacity to recharge a power hungry tablet like an Apple iPad 2, 3 or 4. Its output is 5VDC at 1 Amp current output. The built in WIFI system can connect simultaneously to up to 5 devices and stream music, movies, store files or audio books that you can listen to. I installed a 64 GIG Patriot SD card and a 128 GIG Patriot USB memory stick into the device which gave it the capacity to store 192 GIG of data. Using this with my Apple iPad I expanded the storage capacity of my iPad from 64 GIG to 256 GIG with a rechargeable portable device. This is perfect for power users who need more memory while on the road.In order to use the WIFI Drive with your Apple products or Android device you must download a free app named MobileFun. I tested the app extensively on Apple products using IOS 6 and it worked perfectly. I could not find an app compatible with the Kindle Fire but there is one for Android devices. I was unable to test it with an Android device as I do not own one.I have included in my video review the instructions to program your device and set up the unit like with an iPad. The instruction manual was poorly written and that is why I spent so much time in making the video. The video is long but I believe it may be helpful to you. Please note that the SSID password for the RavPower WIFI Disk is 11111111 as a default. That information is not listed in the manual. The unit does not come with an AC wall charger but you can charge it with your computer USB port or a USB charger from one of your other devices. RavPower makes a good AC wall adapter and if you would like to purchase one they are available from Amazon and here is the product link:RAVPower® RP-UC02 Dual Port USB AC Travel Wall Charger (DC 5V 2.1A mAx) for Apple iPad Mini, The New iPad, iPad 2, iPhone 5 4S, iPod Touch=; Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300, S2 I9100, Note 2 N7100, Note n7000; Kindle fire, Kindle Touch and other Mobile devices ...If you have any questions please send me a comment and I will try to answer you. I rate this product as a 5 star product and I am really impressed with its capabilities. I recommend it to you as a good product.I was supplied with a sample product for test and evaluation and I only promised to provide a fair and honest review in return.

By Bob Tobias
First of all, what a great idea! This device is smaller and lighter than most "reserve power" USB chargers or external Wi-Fi disks I've seen and it works wonderfully as both. Here it is at a high level: - You charge it from any PC, laptop, or USB charger. - You use it to charge any device that can be charged from a USB port. - You can plug an SD card into the SD slot and use that for storage. - You can plug a thumb drive, or external drive into the USB slot and use that for storage. Right now I have both an 32GB SD card and a Kingston Digital Wi-Drive connected. (The Kingston is slow but otherwise, with relatively low power consumption, OK as an external drive. This RavPower is much better as a WiFi drive controller and provides the Kingston with the power it needs to run.) - You can connect to device to a PC/laptop using a USB cable to access the connected storage. - The device creates its own WiFi network that allow you to access the connected storage wirelessly. All you do is charge it and turn it on, the network is there for you to use. Here are some tricks, tips and features: - The default Wireless Name for the device is WiFiSD-158E - The default SSID (wireless key) is 11111111 - You can configure the device to connect to your "real" wireless network. That way you can connect to it and it will pass all your regular browsing activity to the Internet. - You don't need an app to connect to the device. All you have to do is make sure you are on the devices wireless network and then browse to 10.10.10.254 (That's good because there isn't an app for things like PCs or Kindles.) - When you first connect to the device using the URL the default username is admin and there is no password. A wizard allow you to change the username and set a password. It also leads you through other optional configuration activities. - Using either the mobile app if one is available or the web page you can transfer files/directories from one of the external devices either to your local device or the other storage device. One way I've started to use this is as a way to backup SD cards containing photos to a larger external disk drive without needing to lug around a laptop. - You *can* copy files between the SD card and a device connected to the USB port (without going through your mobile device). Unfortunately at the time I'm writing this review the process isn't well documented... until now:To copy files between a SD card and something connected to the USB port, from the "My WiDisk" Home Screen on your mobile device:Verify you see two icons, one for the SD card and the other for the USB-connected device 1) Verify you see two icons, one for the SD card and the other for the USB-connected device 2) Tap "Manage" 3) Verify you still see those two icons 4) Click on the device you want to copy from 5) Navigate to the thing(s) you want to copy and tap them 6) Each item you tap should get a check mark 7) Click on "Download" 8) Verify you see a popup window that lists your mobile device, called "local" and the "other" removable drive. 9) Tap the "other" drive 10) Optionally navigate on it to where you want the files to go 11) Tap "Confirm"I hope you find this information useful and was pleased that RavPower included me among the reviewers they sent samples to for review.

By D. Lazaro
Recently purchased the Ravpower RP-WD01 Wireless WiFi-Disk. It is probably the best investment I have made for ALL my mobile devices. I was on the fence about what wireless wifi storage to get Seagate, Kingston Wi-drive, Airstash and lots more but decided on the ravpower. Main reason was that it had a SD card slot and USB port to connect a multitude of different storage devices. And lets be honest, how many SD cards, microsd cards, portable hard drives and usb flash drives do we have laying around? There is soooo much potential with this product and some very nice surprises that I found out that makes this wifi disk a MUST have for all the tech geeks in us.Bonus, it doubles up as external battery pack. 3,000mah may not be a lot but it does come in handy in those critical must have a charge situations.Specs:Wireless wi-fi storage and external battery pack 3000mahSD card slotUSB slotThe size of the wifi disk is about the size of a portable hard drive. Slightly bigger than my S3; look at attached picture for reference. To connect to the device you must make a wifi connection to it. It is named "WiFiSD-158E" and the password is "11111111". That is 8 ones BTW.Performance:I was able to pick up a wide array of storage media. SD card, microsd in a sd card adapter, Flash drives ranging from 4gb to 32gb with many different brands. It was able to power a Seagate portable hard drive no problem while a SD card was also in the sd card slot. Many different devices were used to connect to the wifi disk: Nexus 7, Nexus 10, Ipad 4, Acer laptop, Coby Cryos android tablet, galaxy S3, Iphone 5 and a t-mobile S2.It says that up to 5 devices can be connected to it.I was able to play all sorts of video files from it, divx/xvid, avi, mp4, mkv, mov.....720p,1080p. It handled it like a champ.I connected 5 devices and tried to stream a divx file all at the same time. It worked flawlessly, no stutters, no audio drops. Now I dunno about HD 720p or 1080p files with 5 devices trying to stream from it. Will try more tests later. You can access your connected storage via 3 different ways:Now, you can use the recommended mobile apps mobile fun (android) and airstor (IOS) to connect to the device to see your connected storage options. They are nice clean simple apps. Reminds me of an "ES Explorer" type file explorer. Pretty fast, smooth and it simply just works. The one thing the APP is a must for is to make it a wifi hotspot. What that means is that you can configure it to connect to your regular home internet router so that when your device is connected to it; you can still have internet access. Basically it acts like a wireless bridge for your router. Once configured you don't have to use the apps ever again. You can even use your browser to go to "10.10.10.254" and connect via a web interface. The default username is "admin" and there is no password. You can configure it to have a password; which I did via a wizard tutorial. This is nice since you can connect your laptop to it and access the connected storage. The last option was a little thing I figured out and was pleasantly surprised! The wifi disk can be accessed via ANY file explorer app that can make SAMBA/SMB connections! File explorers such as "ES Explorer" and "Solid Explorer" have this ability. I personally recommend solid explorer (more on that in a bit). You just have to set it up (please see attached picture for reference). For solid explorer press the "jump" button, then "Network" and then "SMB/CIFS" button. Jump>Network>SMB/CIFSNow press the plus sign button at the top right. It will cause a popup that you will need to fill in the appropriate info.Display name: can be left blankComputer name or ip address: enter 10.10.10.254Authentication method: can set as "Log in as guess" if you did not use the web interface to make a pass word. If you did make a password set it as "store encrypted password"Username: adminpassword: whatever password you made via the web interfaceNow you should be able use the file explorer to navigate the connected storage options:SDCARD-Volume1 = SD card slotUSBDisk-Volume1 = USB port connected storageNow you don't need an extra app to use the wifi disk. Use the file explorer you love and know!Solid Explorer is my reccomendation because it has the two pane option when in landscape mode. With the two panel mode, you can navigate to the "SD card" with pane 1 and then navigate to the "usb port" with pane 2. This will allow you to transfer files between the "sd card" and the "usb port" storage seemlessly and easily! There was a step by step guide on amazon how to transfer files between two attached storage options on the wifi disk, but this makes it sooooo much easier!Build Quality: Seems solid, not too flimsy but quite light. Nice colored LED's that aren't too bright.Gripes about it:Only comes in white; no black option. It sticks out like a sore thumb next to all my other devices. The external battery pack I bought before Xmas had a white generic apple charger which didn't go with the black external battery pack I bought.Does not come with a wall charger; but will use any usb charger.I do not work for RAVpower but was really impressed with their external battery pack for Xmas. Was even contacted by them after the new year to personally ask how the product was working out for me. That was a pleasant surprise. So that pushed my try the wifi disk instead of bigger name alternatives.
5 stars. "This is a very good product that worked perfectly with my Apple iPhones and both of our iPads!" Customer Video Review Length:: 7:03 Mins Update: Please note ...
