recognized my 16gb sdd drive and 500gb mechanical hdd.i gave it 4 stars b/c it uses a non standard connector. it's male usb 3.0 on each side.

This enclosure worked great when attached to my new Zotac ZBOX through an USB 3.0 hub. I tried it on two different hard drives; 500GB and 200GB respectively. Didn't have any issues whatsoever. I also tried on my laptop, which has USB 2.0 port and it worked fine...at lower transfer speed of course, but it worked. It also feels solid built.My only "tiny" issues was installing the "tiny" screws on the side of the enclosure. They are small and the same color as of the enclosure. One needs good lighting and 20/20 vision to install them. A magnetize small screw driver can make the job easier.Other than that, it's a great buy.

This Laptop enclosure for Sata HD and USB 3.0 connection is nice, but I am currently having trouble with the hard drive I installed, to get it to recognize it on my laptop.
