I guess I should have looked at Costco before buying this online. The seller simply picked one up at Costco and shipped it to me. Unfortunately, the shipper must have been playing frisbee with mine because the hard drive had broken through the plastic Costco packaging and was floating around in the shipping box. It tested out ok, and is working fine with the Firewire 800 adapter I also purchased for it (I'm using it on a mid-2009 MacBook Pro 17). Seagate drives have always worked well for me and this one seems to be no exception.
