I have bought many portable hard drives, and I have never had one crap out like this!It worked out of the box and we were happy. Unfortunately after a few days the computer did not recognise it (could not reformat or anything either) and amazon facilitated a return for us. We were doing general file transfer from PC to hard drive.I will stick to Western Digital.

After working properly for a couple of days, we had trouble transfering a large file and had to power off the notebook.The Hard Drive was not readable since.It is possible that it had a bump travelling while not in work, damaging the unit.
