I had been looking around for an enclosure because my daily laptop's screen broke and it was old so instead of fixing it, I bought a new laptop. The hard drive on my old laptop was still good and I wanted to save all my files. I looked around amazon and saw so many cheap and expensive prices and I was worried that this would be low quality or not work at all but it worked perfect. I took out the hard drive, hooked it up and after about 20 seconds (it takes a while the first time you hook it up to install drivers, after that, it only takes a few seconds) and all my folders appeared, as if I was using that hard drive. The only con I see:You must tighten the 2 screws on the sides to secure the hard drive and keep it safe. Nothing wrong with that. Those are the only two holes and while the Hard drive is running, it generates heat like they always do, but there is no other holes for it to breathe. what I did is before putting in the hard drive, I got a drill and a drill bit and drilled a few tiny holes on the top side so it can breathe and it has solved my problem. That was my personal solution, there may be other ones for you guys. I will point out is that I used the enclosure connected to my laptop before drilling the holes and it wasn't THAT hot, but a little more than average warm almost hot. I just have a worry of things heating up. Ahaha. The pros and instructions. :)What you need to know:The encase is pretty good material for the price it is at.Connect the adapter with the USB (the black plastic thing very carefully or you will bend it easily, I happened to me because I wasn't careful but it didn't damage it luckily.Slide the hard drive in the enclosure carefully and tighten the 2 small screws, one per side. This will secure it in place and also provide protection from bumps and such.Connect the USB cables. The one sided goes to the hard drive and the other 2 connect to your computer. One works fine but If you connect both, you get faster transfer and read speeds. The hard drive will run off your computer's power so it's conveniently portable, I would keep the laptop charger with me just in case.I would order again if I needed to. Thanks!

For only $4 and $6 extra for rush shipping, this case saved me time any money and actually makes me wanna keep my old hard drive around. regular SATA to USB cables without the housing usually runs about $20 - $50. so for $10, i get a case, sleeve, and usb cables that connect to not only my computer but another at the same time. AWESOME!!!

It works great with my WD 320gig notebook drive. I only need to plug in 1 of the usb cables for enough power. The only complaint I have is the little tiny screws.
